Thoughts on the Liturgy
Theme: Stewardship and Appreciating the gifts we have been given.

The month of November reminds us of the Communion of Saints
and the Suffering Souls in Purgatory.

THE SECOND COLLECTION is for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development

1. The Year of the Parish Eucharistic Revival continues with ADORATION and RECONCILIATION is 30 MINUTES before Mass.

2. Join us for Adoration and Rosary on Wednesdays after 7:00 am Mass!

3. Thanksgiving Mass is scheduled for Thursday, November 23^rd, at 9:00 a.m.

4. Please join the SVD Laity for a Wine and Cheese study of Your Life in the Holy Spirit by Alan Schreck on Monday, December 4^th, at 5:00 pm. Please bring your favorite wine to share.

5. Christmas Activity for Kids: As Catholics, we are called to share in the Corporal Works of Mercy by teaching our next generation the gift of charity. Your children will receive an Advent Coin Collection Box to help encourage giving to others. When it is filled, please return it to your child’s CCD teacher with the child’s name and grade so it can be presented to the church at our Christmas Pageant. The class with the most collected boxes will receive a special prize!

6. The Faith Formation/CCD classes will host their Annual Christmas Pageant and Party on Sunday, December 17^th, at 3:00 p.m. The theme for this year is Happy Birthday, Jesus! We are asking the congregation for help with donations of Christmas gifts for our enrolled CCD children aged 3 to 18 years of age. Donations of goodies such as cookies, candy, chips, etc. are welcomed for our Christmas party, please place donations in the box at the entrance of the church or contact Karen Isabelle or Chantel Normand.

8. Don’t forget to drop off your Thanksgiving Day turkeys at the parish hall on   Wednesday, November 22^nd from 6 pm to 8 pm.
9. Thank you all for showing such great support to your church through your purchases and donations to the Gumbo Sale. It was a great success that raised $1000 for Our Mother of Mercy Parish. A special thanks to Burnell Dedeaux and Family and Councilman Donald Nash of Vacherie, La. for a great job supporting our parish with delicious food. If you want more delicious food, mark your calendars for the Annual Christmas Dinner Giveaway, on Sunday, December 17^th, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until they run out! This is a parish and community event!
