The SVD Laity is committed to: 
1. Support the missions... through prayer and worship.
2. pray and promote SVD, SSPS, and SSPSAP vocations.
3. meet the spiritual needs of the children, youth, families, communities, and local Churches of the SVD Southern Province, USA
4.develop SVD spirituality in our own and others' lives through prayers, recollections, retreats, Bible study, and workshops.
5. help the needs of the poor.
6. help with financial support for the Society of Divine Word missions of the SVD Southern Province, USA.
7. follow the SVD Constitution and SVD LEaders of the SVD Southern Province, USA.
