The Lector plays an essential role in the Mass proclaiming the Word of God through Sacred Scripture, Announces parish and community events, and Prayers of the Faithful.
A Lector must have received the Sacrament of First Communion, be willing to reflect on and practice each reading, be comfortable speaking in front of people, and have a desire to share the Word of God.
